What to have ready

• Your address, and whether it is a house, apartment, rental or commercial unit
• What is happening - be specific about what you see, hear or smell
• Whether it affects one fixture or the whole property
• When it started, and anything that changed around the same time
• Whether you have already shut the water off
• Age of the water heater or system if the call relates to it

If it is an emergency

Shut the water off at the main, kill power to any circuit near the water, and photograph the damage before you clean up. Then call. If you can smell gas, leave the building first and call your gas utility from outside.

Commercial and property management

For multiple properties, scheduled maintenance programmes or after-hours commercial work, call the same number and say so up front. We will set up an account with consolidated invoicing and per-property reporting.
